Here are a few pics of Violet's week here. She made a sand castle by Spring creek. We are having an activity filled week. Texas isn't Italy but it's still a lot of fun- especially with Teresa as a friend and guide.

admired the fine craftsmanship of this pioneer bench in Jesse Jones park.

had thoughts of breaking the law and picking Texas's state flower-

walked in then warm sand.... and learned a bit about fire ants at the same time.

marveled at the geode at the X-ploration station... just had to touch it!

Midnight's summer dreaming....

figuring out torsion waves....

enjoying a last snack with Drake before he leaves to live with his dad in Africa. We gave him a gift.....sunblock! He's so fair.

passing thru the bubble chamber and listening to fish and whale sounds...

She really did enjoy the X-ploration station- especially the scary stuff and the hissing cockroaches. The guides were fun and kept the kids attention. There was so much to see and do and of course- to keep Grandma busy too. What can I say about Violet- she is a wonderful child- delightful in every way.

To end the day- we all ate at Joe's............

A day at Montgomery County Fair- Violet's enjoying the country life to the full.... she made sure every animal had a hig and a kiss before she moved on. She's a brave soul.

The kids with the last pups.

A day at the races. The deer couldn't get away from her fast enough. Nadia warned me how V loves to run.

Look what I found under the cabbage plant! She was eagerly rearranging the leaves. She had been helping Teresa wash the Hyundai after it had come back from Padre loaded with sand inside and out. She loved the water as we had a warm spring day-82 degrees hot .She wearied from the stress of keeping Teresa's shoelaces tugged on as they trailed in the soapy water. She soon disappeared and we found her snacking. By the way, the team returned home from Spring Break witnessing, totally exhausted, rain and sun weary but excited with all the Lord did there.

In just a few short hours, our team will be headed South. Padre Island and Spring break awaits them. Our little Hyundai is bravely hauling down 6 boxes of "Strange Truths" and other goodies as well as the bearers of all this news. I'm afraid there is hardly room for people. Andraes kept his printing presses working all day to get everything printed in time.
Last year our team did great but came back beet red and in recovery for a week. This year we have wisened up a bit. Keep us in your prayers!

A day in the park. Jason and his dad got in a bit of practice before the younger generation showed up to take over. Soccer, played with a volley ball doesn't seem quite right.

Just for fun. These two pooches are the life of the party.

Meet Lexi and Wellington. They are both just over 1 year old and we recently inherited them from a lady who was having heart problems. They were being trained as Therapy Dogs and already had some visits to their credit- mostly to Old Folks homes. They are quite an interesting addition to the neighborhood and they seem to love it here. I just wanted to include a few pictures.
